You're Worth Full Price
In 2001, baby boomer Pamela Judd was at a September 11th crossroads.  An overweight introvert who was a good candidate for "What Not to Wear," Judd wore frumpy hand me downs and hadn't looked in the mirror for years.  Divorced and forty something, she faced the decision of whether to leap or standstill in her career.  A chance purchase of Brenda Kinsel's book 40 Over 40 and Brenda's powerful message, "You're Worth Full Price," became Judd's moment of truth.  This daughter of entrepreneurs founded Make Me Proud of You, Inc. with a mission to help professionals in the workplace to lead and communicate with Clarity, Confidence, and Civility.

The Confidence Project™
Judd's decision to reinvent her career led her to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City.  Though she hadn't taken a test in 25 years, Judd earned her Certified Image Professional certification from www.aici.org and certifications in Image Consulting and Color Specialist from FIT.  She is certified in the Universal Style System and gives clients confidence to discover their inner leader.  Judd  helps professionals in public service and non-profit environments to lead more and fear less through The Confidence Project™, a proprietary 10 Step Leadership System.

What Do You Want to Be?
When Judd was asked this question at the age of 5, the setting was her childhood home on Dora Lane in New Rochelle, New York.  Her spontaneous answer was, "I want to be a Teacher when I grow up."  Judd speaks and writes from life experience.  Her Make Me Proud of You at Work series includes Career Training Wheels™, Career Chutzpah™, MentorCraft™, Courageous PresentationsNetworking with Style, Image360™, Leading with Civility, Generational Intelligence®, and Leadership Has No Boundaries. Judd has taught Career Development and Professional Image and Human Relations at Lehman College.

Make Me Proud of You
The inspiration for Make Me Proud of You began in 1973 when Pamela Judd was 15 and her mother, Anne Brezak was diagnosed with cancer.  With career chutzpah,  Anne's American Dream came true when she founded JorJans, a wildly successful fabric business in the South Bronx when women entrepreneurs were few and far between.  Judd watched her mother transform from a dynamic businesswoman into a courageous role model who fought the disease fearlessly.  Judd recalls, "She faced cancer with grace.  She told me about her own brave beginnings as an immigrant and what it felt like to be ridiculed for her poverty, frumpy clothes, and silent voice.  She is the true inspiration behind Career Chutzpah and our Frumpy to Fearless™ Image Program." On the day before she died, Judd's mother miraculously came out of a coma to speak to her teenage daughter for the last time.  Judd never forgot what she said.  "My mother's last words to me were Make Me Proud of You.  Her message is the compass behind every choice I've ever made.  She taught me that you have to be proud of yourself first before others can be proud of you."

Leap and the Net will Appear
Today, Judd is married and 30 pounds lighter thanks to Weight Watchers.  Her husband Les Judd, President of  the  non-profit Green City Challenge www.greencitychallenge.org was her very first male client who hired her to help him with networking skills.  Their first date was at Congregation B'nai Jeshurun www.bj.org on Manhattan's Upper West Side, an extraordinary place that continues to inspire them.   Judd is excited to give back to this vibrant community both as a facilitator of a monthly Mastermind Group for BJ Entrepreneurs and as a volunteer in BJ's Employment Help Task Force.

Her advice to anyone who wants to make their career count?  Judd's philosophy is, "Leap and the net will appear.  Helping people to feel proud of what they have achieved and what they have yet to accomplish is a dream come true."
